Value Placement
People place "great value" on items that display wealth.
"
1/. Great value is placed on having the latest smart phone.
2/. Great value is placed on clothes & fashion accessories.
3/. Great value is placed on expensive cars that depreciate as soon as you drive them away from the showroom.
4/. Great value is placed on homes with kerb appeal.
5/. Great value is placed on "travel-experiences"
Spend 10 minutes to consider how you spend your money. How could you save 10% of your income?
Make a Checklist
Grab a cup of coffee, pen and a sheet of paper and make a list of all your expenditure.
Then draw a smiley 😊 or un-smiley face 😕 against each item.
Once you complete the list, question why you need each item, especially items marked with an un-smiley face.
Calculate how much per month you spend on each item - could you cut back on any expenditures? Consider this - you accumulated all these expenses by sleep walking into them, but now you can consider and re-evaluate whether you still need them.
To quote Carl Bard, "Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending."
